The list of the highest MPG SUVs includes a handful of hybrids, a growing number of diesels, and scads of conventionally-powered vehicles. The front-wheel-drive (FWD) verison of the Lexus 450h hybrid tops the combined charts, while the manual-equipped FWD Mazda CX-5 rocks on the open road. The Porsche Cayenne is the highest rated diesel for 2013 at 19 city / 23 combined / 29 highway MPG. The Audi Q5 TDI and Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel join the fray in 2014.
