The 2013 Scion FR-S automatic scored remarkably well in our 300+ mile review. We demolished the official mileage estimates, scoring an average of 41.6 miles per gallon (MPG) on the Interstate highway and 34.1 MPG combined in a week long road test. The FR-S’ high level of fuel-efficiency enabled by superior aerodynamics and – in the case of the automatic – optimized gearing.
